Christmas festivities at the Jackson household major on the good life - good food, good wine and a steady stream of eagerly awaited visiting family and friends. 'I like to keep everything about Christmas as simple as possible, ' says Ali, adding that as the horses need mucking out and feeding even on Christmas day as well as the dogs and fourteen lunch guests, being organised and calm is part at the heart of her success. This is equally true of the style of the calm, pared down interiors at the mill which she and David bought over twenty years ago and have just finished redecorating for the second time.
